Alabama Association for Financial Professionals (AAFP), a Birmingham based not-for-profit, values the privacy of our visitors. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that is knowingly provided to us. We do not share any type of personal information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection of information from this website that can personally identify you and/or your organization, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

AAFP collects and stores contact information from individuals as it is knowingly provided to us, including email addresses. Your privacy is important to us. With the exception of the information you supply for use in connection with AAFP’s online directory, your contact information and personal data will not be shared with anyone outside of AAFP except to process your credit card payment. No one except the AAFP Member and authorized personnel at AAFP can change any information regarding that member unless he/she affirmatively consents to those changes. 

You may choose at any time not to provide personally identifiable information, although this may restrict our ability to provide requested services or information.

AAFP collects email addresses from those that have requested more information. AAFP may use your email address to send you emails about AAFP events or activities. To unsubscribe to our mailing list, please contact webmaster@AlabamaAFP.org. Other than in connection with AAFP’s online directory, e-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers or any other type of personal information provided are not made available to third parties. AAFP does not disclose credit card account information provided by its visitors when signing up for an event or in any other case.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Your credit card information is not retained by any information system AAFP utilizes. Credit card transactions are processed immediately by merchant services vendors that meet the highest standards in the industry. All credit card transactions are Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. If you have questions or concerns about the security of your information, please contact AAFP at www.AlabamaAFP.org. Please keep in mind that e- mail does not use SSL encryption technology and we advise against sending credit card information to us via e-mail.

We reserve the right to disclose any personally identifiable information or other information we collect through this website or otherwise if we are required to do so by law or if we reasonably believe that the disclosure is necessary in order to (a) fulfill a government request; (b) conform with the requirements of law or to comply with legal process served on us; (c) protect or defend our legal rights or property; or (d) in an emergency to protect the health or safety of the users of the website or the general public.
