Topic: Macroeconomic Metric Forecasting
During this talk, Drs. Bill McKinnon and Tom Smith from Capitalytics will discuss the current issues that are driving and hampering the economic recovery as we re-emerge from the COVID pandemic. Specifically, the discussion will focus on our forecasts for inflation rates, yields, jobs, and other trends (domestic and global) that are expected to influence investors in the coming months based on information from the Fed, US and global policy makers, and others. We will also welcome questions on topics related to the macroeconomic discussion.

Speakers Bio:
Dr. Bill McKinnon, CEO at Capitalytics, has broad entrepreneurial experience and education in business, projects, and technology. Education includes a B.E.E. from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S. – Computer Engineering from Clemson Univ., a Ph.D. from North Carolina State Univ., and an MBA from Emory University. His work at Capitalytics focuses on independent economic research and forecasts for banks and other entities.
Dr. Tom Smith is Associate Professor of Finance and an Economist at Emory University-Goizueta Business School. His experience includes consulting on and teaching economic and financial analysis. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Illinois Wesleyan University, and a Master’s degree and Ph.D. from University of Illinois at Chicago.
