Topic: Keys to the Kingdom: Maximum Autonomy, Control, Access; Minimum Oversight
Topic Description:
Treasury leaders are trusted and credible professionals within an organization. Often working under the radar, treasury professionals are known in small circles for their unique skills and both strategic and operational knowledge. They often work directly with executive management and consult with leaders, cross-enterprise, on all finance-related matters. Together with their small but mighty teams, treasurers hold a great deal of control and authority to access financial information and systems - and unparalleled access to move large amounts of cash around the world. In many cases, treasurers personally develop relationships with internal and external business partners, contingencies and procedures, and design dual authentication and dual access contingency plans. In many ways, treasury professionals hold the keys to the kingdom.
But what would happen if a treasury professional leaves suddenly or unexpectedly? How will the company consolidate and regain control of all points of access, authority and control – and potential vulnerabilities? Who will effectively and efficiently contact all business partners and disable all access, privileges and rights in a timely manner in accordance with company guidelines and other mandates? Would company executives know what to do if a breach were to occur?
Three 20+ years treasury management industry veterans and advocates will address the types of authority and levels of access and control that treasurers hold, as well as risks to the company, business partners, clients and other constituents. Procedures and third-party tools for top executives to minimize those threats will also be outlined.
